Name of the center: Ideal Home
Location: Chitwan, Nepal

Ideal home is a women's center where women suffering from domestic violence and abuse can stay. The center opened April 2009 and received 10 women and their children at that time. The women are supposed to stay for 18 month at Ideal Home.

During their stay, the women work on different skills, focusing on sewing (clothes) and making candles. Hopefully they will be able to start their own small business in the future.

As important as working skills is the new environment they are experiencing. At Ideal Home they build their self-confidence, their self-reliance and gain greater knowledge about their rights in society. The home also supports their capacity building and flight with the domestic violence in forth coming days.

At Ideal Home they get a new family to interact with, new friends and they automatically practice speaking up for themselves while learning to trust people.

Volunteers can help teaching English conversation and develop designs and ideas for their sewing program.

Ideal Home is also in great need of donations and sponsors.
